Here’s a tip for making an outfit with two, three, or more matching garments from one fashion fabric. Start with the “other pieces” first, specifically the pants, skirt, vest, and so on. By saving the crucial piece (usually the jacket) for last, you’ll have a very thorough knowledge of how the fabric handles, sews, and presses, and avoid making mistakes where they would show most.
