You'll need a few special findings to make a bra. From left to right in the photo below: hook closures, strap elastic, plush elastic, rings and also slides so the straps can adjust, underwires, and channeling.

This is my BRA DILEMA, NOT YET SOLVED.

  2. 17shammrocks August 2nd

Hi I am new to Threads,

I have just learnt how to make bras and knickers.

But I have found it difficult to obtain plush elastic for banding and strapping and the rings and sliders and channelling for my project here in the UK.
The only things I can get it in is black or white. We dont have anywhere where I can buy it either on line or out shopping unless you buy from china in bulk.
Can you suggest where I can get it in rich beautiful colours e.g. red, green, royal blue, orange, cerise etc....

all those beautiful rich colours and pastel colours. If I find something say in canada etc there is a large postage fee. Does any one know where i could get it in UK.

I want to have beautiful colours in my bras, not boring black and white!

They have all of these colors at www.bracomponents.com

I am in the process of learning how to make bras. I've made about 8 now, but haven't found the colors of notions you display. Could you possibly tell me which store you found these beautiful colors: fuchsia, turquoise, blue and brown bra notions - a luxury!
    Thank you,
    Kym
