Bobbinwork Stitching: How to Wind and Install a Bobbin

Bobbinwork is a decorative technique in which you create stitched designs on fabric using thicker thread than you would use for standard sewing. In Threads #187 (October/November 2016), Gisela Pugni Spatz shows you how to combine free-motion stitching with bobbinwork to create beautiful surface designs. Watch to learn how to wind the bobbin for this embellishment technique. You’ll also learn how to load the bobbin into the bobbin case and adjust its tension.
