Threads magazine - 181 - Oct./Nov. 2015 Issue
Article Image
Every sewer ends up with small remnants, and many of us stash them because they’re just too lovely to throw in the trash. This fashion-forward necklace is an excellent way to put your gorgeous fabric scraps to use-and wear them. The necklace is versatile, lightweight, easy to make, and travels well. There’s no sewing involved, and once you’ve learned the basic technique, you can make different leaf or geometric shapes. Select the fabrics to reflect the season. Make your own falling leaves necklace with this tutorial from Threads #181 (October/November 2015). They’re highly customizable, and a great way to use your favorite fabric scraps.
