Butterfly Queen
comments (2) November 4th, 2009 in design, garment construction, fabric, embellishments, reader's closetTop (cotton twill) corset inspired, is covered with small butterflies (raw silk) that were airbrushed and machine embroidered . Skirt is four huge butterfly wings with embroidered veins (raw silk), drapped over underskirt made of 20, 5 ft fairy wings (poly organza), hand dyed each detailed with embroidered veins. UnderTop is (powernet) decorated with strips of green lining with lace up back. All held up by a tutu and oval hoop.
This costume was a final for college, made by myself for myself but modeled by student.
