While searching for the perfect prom dress my daughter said, “Mom, you can do this!” So we hit the patterns and searched the web for the perfect fabrics. She was thrilled. She was able to design what she wanted and I was able to be economical in the process. We utilized several patterns: the skirt from Butterick 4131, and the top was inspired by Simplicity 8328 & Butterick 6131 with some modifications to suit her design interests. Overall it was a very rewarding and mother daughter bonding experience. I am honored she wanted her mom to make this very special dress.
