Spider Queen
comments (1) November 4th, 2009 in reader's closetThe "Spider Queen" was my own creation. I made the outer coat from two different sewing patterns, the web/spider coat with one and the collar from another pattern. Its a Halloween novelty fabric of red spiders on black webs. The larger spiders are hand sewn on, one on each collar edge, at the neck, and one at the closing of the coat. I bought the spider web (it was a window decoration) on my face, hot glued on the tiny spiders for the crown; threaded some left over fabric through the middle of it and tied in on like a headband and hot glued a larger spider to the center. The faux snake skin leggings, lace camisole, and spider arm warmers were purchased. And I forgot to take off my glasses for the picture taken by my cousin with my camera. The Spider bag is made from four placemats and two dish towels from a dollar store.
