You can see our turtle shells here.  Even the little doggie wanted to be a turtle!
I cut and sewed these green socks to make it look like I only had 2 toes...just like the TMNT!

We had so much fun making and wearing these costumes!  We bought matching green sweat suits, sparkly and scaly green fabric for our shells, colored fabric for each of the turtles, green face paint, and we reused an old pair of pleather pants from a thrift store for the front turtle plates.  I painted pieces of cardboard with the Turtle initials for the belts and used some scrap fabric that had been sitting in my closet since last Halloween.
