Little Black Dress

I designed and made this stretch silk satin dress that also has lace and crystal beading detail at the top as well as the back. It is a asymmetrical one shouldered dress. I draped triangle shapes to connect most of the dress instead of using the common princess seams or something similar to it. It is the perfect little black dress for any special occasion.

Pictures are not appropriate for a wholesome sewing website.

What a great LBD! The pictures are smashing! Great job! Enjoy wearing it wherever you go.

The little black dress is well made and well worn. I do not find it inappropriate to the site and the photographs do not give the LBD the full attention both the dress and the sewer deserve. Enjoy wearing it!!

Dress looks well made and well fitted. Wish I could see the details better. Pictures were too dark to understand the triangles you mentioned. Great job on a beautiful dress! (don't understand how these could be considered inappropriate pictures?)

The dress looks terrific, and I think the pictures are also terrific and just fine for a magazine like this. Actually, they are fine for any magazine, in my humble opinion.

The pictures are as stunning and sexy as the dress. Is someone maybe a little bit jealous of that? Marketing is marketing, and I see nothing less than wholesome here. I think with your skin tones, it would also look absolutely gorgeous in a royal/midnight blue or deep crimson. You go, girl, and don't let anyone tell you "You can't"!

Dear lvm, you may enjoy my comments on the velvet, lace party top. And by the way, I'm a very religious 54 year old married woman who has been married for 30+ years and a well-respected member of "the establishment".

Oh, dear, I haven't been here for awhile. I may not be a religious, conservative member of the establishment like Clarasita, but I've got her beat by several years in age (I'm 67). I join my voice with hers to say that this is lovely, appropriate, glamorous, and professionally presented. Anyone who is offended should probably not look at Vogue, Elle, or Project Runway either.

Dear Schmatta, I may be religious and a member of "the establishment" but there is nothing conservative about my social and political views. I support Manny Chevrolet for the next mayor of New Orleans. The major plank of his platform is to legalize marijuana, regulate it, tax the hell out of it. He would instantly reduce prison overpopulation and use the profits to educate our children, pave our streets and rebuild our Katrina-ravaged infrastructure and neighborhoods. Yes, he is an actor/comedian (you can see clips from the 1st televised debate on youTube) but he makes a lot more sense than most of the phony, climbing, rich talking heads currently in office. Have fun with life, that's what it's for. I loved your comment and agree with it wholeheartedly.
