Purple velvet swing coat made from a vintage 1948 pattern is faced with purple and gold brocade, partially lined with coordinating gold satin. Sleeves are split at cuff, showing a deep facing of brocade. Imprinted gold flourish design wraps around coat body hem, ending at the front where the brocade facing becomes the rolled-out shawl collar.
Imprinting was done using gold-inked flourish design treated with heat.
