These wool vests were refashioned from an oversized wool ski sweater, felted in my washer and drier;pattern pieces were then cut and sewn. My grandson's vest came from the original sweater sleeves on the front of which I needle-felted two hearts with wool from the sweater clippings; the vest neck and arm holes were bound with cotton strips cut on cross-wise grain from a red T-shirt. Mumsie's vest features the original front and back of sweater, turtleneck cut into a cowl, and handmade rose flower. Great re-fashion projects for two special Valentines!
