Olga's Silk Jacket
comments (0) February 15th, 2010 in sewing, design, garment construction, fabric, reader's closetI made this jacket for a friend who likes to stand out in a crowd.
It's made in shantung silk, one of my favourite fabrics because it's so beautiful to handle and it comes in such wonderful shimmering jewel colours.
My only problem with it is that it doesn't gather very well on sleeve heads, but this problem is overcome by using fusible interfacing around the curve.
