Easter Trio
Our grandchildren posing for their annual Easter photo. I made my granddaughter's dress as well as a butterfly for her hair cut out from one in the fabric. I carefully cut out the antennae keeping it attached to the butterfly body. I used a heavy interfacing/stabilizer and ironed it onto the wrong side of the wings and antennae. I used Scribbles glittering silver 3D paint on the edges to prevent fraying and give it pizzazz. Then cutting the second one using the same technic I stitched them together only with a satin stitch in the middle of the butterfly body freeing the wings to look like 3D and as if it were flying. Then I hand sewed a pony tail rubber band to the butterfly. I used a coordinating fabric for my grandson's neckties. They were all proud of their new Easter clothes. They looked like a million dollars! Grandma sure had fun with the project to!!!
