Handkerchief Hem Top
This top was made using Simplicity pattern # 4127, View C. I used a Georgette fabric that I purchased from a clearance table off season. I am somewhat self taught and consider myself to be an advanced beginner (learned the basics in high school). I also learned 2 new techniques using this type of fabric. I sewed french seams following Judith Neukam's "Teach Yourself to Sew: How to Sew French and Lapped Seams". While watching another video I also learned how to use my narrow hem foot, which took a lot of practice but well worth the effort to complete the narrow hem.
