1930's 'Slip' Evening Gown

This is an evening gown cut from a 1930’s slip pattern.
This is the original 1932 McCall pattern front.
I cut the low back View A from transparent satin on the true bias instead of on the straight of grain.
I lined it with a muted purple tone of iridescent silk chiffon and created the bottom flounce in another purple shade of silk chiffon to match the prevailing color of the transparent satin.

I have been working with vintage patterns for 13 years.  I see endless possibilities for contemporary garments in vintage patterns.
