Halloween

front view

Okay, I admit it: looking at Clive Owen in his King Arthur costume made this task MUCH easier! I made everything except the crown and sword. The pants are pleather with lace ties up the side, the boots are old tennis shoes re-skinned, the cape is lined and trimmed, and the breast plate is plaster of paris covered in pleather with stitched pleather straps, and the fasteners are ... PURSE MAGNETS! They're FANTASTIC! The gauntlets are pleather, and the chain mail is a cotton t-shirt from a jammies pattern with some weird halloween fabric cut from the same pattern and hand-stitched because the fabric was VERY holy, but it really DID look like chain mail. Fun, fun, fun!

Pattern or design used: used Clive Owen's King Arthur costume as inspiration, made the pants pattern, used Butterick Jammies pattern for the shirts
