Sweetest Notion

This little dog's tail pulls out to reveal a tape measure. I bought it for my Mom for Christmas 60 years ago from the little Santa Gift shop that we had at our grade school. We could shop for those "special" gifts in secret. It's not very handy to use as a tape measure but at the time it was a gift I thought she needed because she liked to sew. She inspired my lifelong love of sewing.
