Hi - I have been working on this over Christmas and I wanted to show it off!

It's a toddlers outfit, which looks like a dress, but has a hidden secret - under the apron front there are wrap around trousers a little like bloomers; undo the belt at the back and the whole lower section folds down and away for nappy changing and easy dressing - it's an all in one and the top slips on like a jacket. It's made of two fabrics, a cotton with a linen like weave in plain white, and a really pretty white striped lawn with a wedgewood blue floral pattern, the layers mean that the translucent quality of the lawn isn't a problem.

It has a front facing, and the pattern has no side seam, with the arm hole open at the shoulder seam. This version is sleevless, although it's quite possible to add sleeves, it's a question of splitting a tradtional sleeve pattern in half length ways, flipping them over and rejoining them so tha the sleeve, when flat, looks more like a V shape.
