Summer Stripes!
Threads issue #150 Fresh, fun blouse ideas was my inspiration for this garment. I made this blouse from one of the newer Simplicity patterns, 2339. I love that the cup sizes are included which means you don't have to do a FBA. I chose to make it sleeveless and used striped shirting from Linda Lee. Mixing fabrics was fun. I embroidered the inside yoke with a feathery background design and my first initial. Since it was such a pretty stripe, I chose to piece the collar to create a chevron. I use bias stripes from the same fabric as the front bands to finish the armholes.
