Victorian costume

This is the first part of the costume which includes a jacket, blouse and skirt. The fabric is a taffeta blend i found on sale. Originally the sleeves were to be short with elastic. I added a lower sleeve in dull satin and lined them in two parts to keep the mutton chop puff on the upper sleeve. Machine embroidery was done on the lining which shows on each lapel and matches the lower sleeve. The piping is done in the same black satin used on the lapel ruffle.

    Elegantly beautiful...
Would love to see the rest of the outfit together with the hat, gloves, etc!
