Sheath dress with swing jacket

Note: this dress is not from this Vogue pattern, but its similar.
I like the 1950s feel of this jacket, with the bow and the swing back.
Detail; The bow is a charming feature, I think.
This ensemble worked great to wear to two springtime weddings.
I did not make the dress from this pattern--just the jacket.  The jacket was a cinch to sew.  It is not lined, so I drafted a lining pattern for it.

When I received an invitation to a springtime wedding, I was able to sew this dress and jacket quickly and feel perfectly dressed for the occasion.  I often sew vintage patterns, but this contemporary jacket pattern's swing back and bow embellishment were reminiscent of the 1950s.
