Sewing Redux
Hello everyone! As I wrote in my bio, I started sewing at the tender age of 5. But for reasons unknown to me (more like what the heck was I thinking????), I stopped sewing about 10 years ago. My daughters gave me an unexpected gift of a lovely sewing machine. I think they are sad that I quit sewing mosly for them. Anyway, I got started with a project I found on line and here it is. It is a quilted wallet and I have since made two more and working on a fourth. I have been happily giving them as little gifts.
In addition, I have started watching Project Runway. I have zero art talent, but have recently remarried to a writer and artist who is determined to bring the artist and writer out in everyone including me.
Sewing gave me so much over my life. I am shocked at myself when I realize I had abandonded something so precious to me. I look forward to reading other sewers' blogs and relearning the art and craft.
Thank you, Chris
