Dress I created for Alissa's destination weding in Barbados...
I created this dress to wear to a destination wedding in Barbados on October 8,2011. Alissa is my former sewing student, employee, mentoree, and a great friend. We have been together since she was 14, she is now 30. So, needless to say, there was much agonizing as to the what the perfect dress to wear to this special wedding would be. I wanted Hollywood Glamour, a halter dress that would compliment my necklace/earrings, a design which wouldn't comprimise or cut up the dots on my silk geogette. The dress is lined and in places underlined with a neutral colored silk charmeuse. The edges of the belt, circle skirt georgette, and lining charmeuse are serged with a narrow hem on my aging Elna Pro 5DC with Sulky.
