I fell in love with embroidery last year while learning how to sew. I've been on a search for a mentor to teach me more about embroidery and digitizing embroidery designs. I haven't found my mentor as of yet and I have to count on books for now. I have a used embroidery machine on layaway right now. I can't wait to put it to good use. I love making gifts for everyone ! I really didn't have anyone to teach me about sewing, crochet, crafting of any kind when I was younger...

I only started crochet in my late teens and did a lot of embellishments to my own clothes and for friends and family with paints and some stitching, that I Truly didn't even know would have been considered embroidery.

I just knew there were pictures in my head that I couldn't do as well with paint on some fabrics, so I used a needle and thread. I didn't even know to buy floss, I just doubled and quadrupled regular sewing thread when I wanted to add a special touch.

As I said, I would love to win this book, but I've never won anything in my life, so I don't expect to. It's just fun to share my ideas and parts of my life. Blessings to you all & Hope you all have a Super Holiday Season!

I am teaching myself to embroider because I have always wanted to embellish some of the clothes I make, so I think this book would be so inspiring to have, and to use some of the great sounding ideas in it. I am amazed by how many ideas for embroidery motifs can come from just looking at what surrounds us, and how I see them differently now that I am learning a new craft. I see the birds and animals in nature, so many designs and colors, and color combinations that are so interesting and unexpected. And I am inspired by what other crafters and artists create, and that is why I would like to have this book, because I can always use a new source of inspiration to spur me on!
