Burda and Simplicity join forces

7305

Many of us know and love Burda patterns. They are stylish and cover a wide range of garment types and skill levels. Recently Simplicity and Burda announced a new partnership making Burda patterns available at Simplicity.com and with a 40 percent discount!

Each Burda pattern has a number highlighted between 1 through 4 showing the skill level of the pattern ranging from very easy to advanced. Their pattern line has a full range of misses’ patterns including dresses, pants, skirts, coordinateslingerie, and more. They also cover a variety of sizes such as petite, plus size, and maternity. Burda also has menswear patterns, historical costumes, children’s wear, and patterns for crafts and your home.

My favorite Burda pattern is number 7305—a chic dress with released darts creating a sunburst design at one side seam. Choose 3/4 length sleeves or sleeveless. Also included is a simple short jacket to match.

What is your favorite Burda pattern? Will you sew Burda patterns more often now that they’re available through Simplicity?

Well No! I'll still buy/download patterns from BurdaStyle.com ...as long as we can! I don't like Simplicity's download scheme, because it's NOT a PDF download, just a "print 3 times in 1 year" deal. I'm not the only one who feels this way either, as I read this morning on another blog.
    BTW, I LOVE BurdaStyle patterns.

Yes! I will certainly be using Burda patterns more often now that they are available on simplicity.com--and at discount. It's so much easier now to check out from home what's available in the Burda catalog than it used to be when I had to either go to my local Joann or search for them online. simplicity.com ships pretty quickly, too, with free shipping over a certain amount. I like the idea of a pdf sewing pattern, but in practice I hate going through the bother and expense when you factor in the cost of paper and ink and time putting it all together. So, yes, this is good news to me!
