Design show "VIOLET COUTURE" in Pittsburgh, Pa. The theme was from work to dinner/cocktails.

My design was to create a dress you can wear to the office and still look professional and add a skirt to change into. I chose 4ply silk for the dress with a slash front that can be opened or closed by the ties at the neckline. The skirt body was crinoline and sheer organza in shades of darker violet. I ran ribbon all over the skirt and then added large silk flower petals that I underlayed with the organza to give them lift from the skirt. This design would also look great in a variety of fabrics for any occasion.
