I have been very curious about working with lace in different contexts, there are many articles on lace in this Spring 2012 issue; Custom Lace Top. The season's hottest luxury fabric is simple to sew, All Laced Up. Turn and old-fashioned closure into a cool design feature (cover story), and Painted Lace. Apply dye with a brush for multicolored effects. I would love to be able to learn more and the lace re-purposing article is right up my alley.

Make it your way. I'm finally getting back into garment sewing so I like to see different points of view and how it's achieved.

Painted lace. I like to flip the pages of this magazine, it always inspire me.

  40. User avater
    etheldora | | #40

Make it Your Way! There really is very little "new" in fashion design; it's all about interpretation. And I would enjoy seeing the process of three different designers interpreting the same pattern.

  41. LadyP | | #41

I am just starting to experiment with pattern design and would be very interested in the article, "Make it your way".

  42. User avater
    stevndi | | #42

The Mighty Pin. Obviously there is more to learn about pinning. I have never thought of the subject before, but now I can't wait to see the article.

  43. User avater
    LinLohLan | | #43

I lost & kept off 50 pounds in 2011 & have about 70 more to lose. I need to dust off my serger and read "Copy That. Trace the fit of your favorite sleeve and darts" to alter and make new garments. I have thrift store finds bought for the fabric and will also enjoy Make It Your Way which is what I have always done with patterns anyway since I was a teen. I like to see different people's creativity from a basic pattern.

  44. mikesmonster1 | | #44

Painted lace I would like to try

  45. LadyKane | | #45

Sew It Style It intrigues me--adding new to current wardrobe saves time and money and makes me feel in style without spending lots of money--your magazines are always so inspiring and educational. Thanks.

  67. NMT | | #67

Oh, my! Where to start...?! I am always fascinated with people's individual creativity and interpretation, so Make it Your Way really appeals to me. Too many interesting topics to pass on this offer - please pick me! :-)

    SewLimitless | | #68

I like the Make It Your Way and Copy That. The whole issue seems really great!

  69. sewpretty | | #69

I would definitely like to read 'Get On a Roll'. I have always cut all my fabric with my highly protected sewing scissors (woe to he whose mind it crosses to use them on anything but fabric). Recently, my ever-so-fabuloso hubby bought me a sewing table, complete with cutting mat, and rotary cutter. ( Told you he was fabulous). I have trouble cutting anything other than straight lines, and lets face it, most of us women need a few curves in our clothing. So a few tips ( or more) from this article would be appreciated, and well, needed.

  70. SewingIsFun4All | | #70

I think I would want to read the copy that one as it would be fun being able to remake the things that I love but have worn to death!

  71. gigisgyrlz | | #71

I just got a new serger and would really like to learn different techniques to use it. There is a real difference in watching it on tv and finally being able to do some of the things I see. Serger Secrets will be a great reference for me to use.

  72. rour | | #72

I could use the help with eyelets and pockets!

    SewingForKids | | #78

Sounds like an awesome issue! Hard to decide on just ONE article... But at last, I would have to choose "make it your way." I would love to see three interpretations of the same item. Can't wait to see the results!!

  79. Carly_Sue | | #79

I would like to see more fitting techniques. the baby boomer population is coming into SS age and needs more instructions on pattern fitting for the rounded back. Love the magazine.

  80. ItaB | | #80

As a beginner, I find all of the articles fascinating! But to choose one? I'd say the custom lace blouse

  81. User avater
    HStorm | | #81

Serging Secrets! I could use a few of those... Thanks!

  82. MJE2 | | #82

Ease has always been a mystery to me. Would love to learn more!

  83. ridgetop01 | | #83

I have recently had weight loss surgery, and now am learning how to fit a brand new body! Your article on "Easy Ease" sounds like it is just what I need to help my sewing transition from oversized baggy garments to fitted ones that are comfortable and attractive!!!

  84. schmatta | | #84

This aging, mellowing rebel would like to read about metal eyelets. I've been wanting to learn how to apply them for some time.

  85. towens71 | | #85

After coming back into sewing for myself after a few years of not, I would love to know more about the lace top! How exciting!

  86. JaneCisneros | | #86

I like the sound of Get On a Roll. I'm learning how to make quilt blocks and using the rotary cutter efficiently and smartly seems to be a skill I could use some tips on!

  87. Carolsewmuch | | #87

I always like to learn more about the serger.

  88. hoodwinked | | #88

I don't see anything on the list that would not be a great help to enhance my sewing ability.

  89. auntPollybBeattie | | #89

Custom lace top is of great interest to me. Also painted lace sounds like something I would like to read about.

  90. sewnatural01 | | #90

I'm looking forward to the piecework article. I have so much beautiful gabric that is not enough to make anything. However this article may give me inspiration to make something beautiful.

  91. mabowles | | #91

I can't wait to try dyeing lace like shown in this spring's issue. The lace top shown on the website would be look great on a denim linen I have.

  92. merilynne | | #92

It all sounds great, but I am particularly interested in the strip piecing!

  93. Vickysews | | #93

I want it all!! I studied the list and there is not 1 thing that does not appeal to me to enhance my sewing skills. I can't wait till I get my issue and start reading and putting new knowledge to work!! Happy Stitchin'!!

  94. Rosebud_52 | | #94

  96. Easier | | #96

Everything on the list of articles looks interesting. I need help with it all!

  97. Isabelsdaughter | | #97

Let's see, Easy Ease, Serger Secrets, Lace Top....Well, you get the idea. Looks like lots of helpful stuff in this issue. No matter how much sewing I do, there is always more to learn, my favorit part!!!

  98. User avater
    schmam | | #98

I recently bought a new-to-me Babylock Ellegante -- a huge step up from my Janome Deco! With every project I'm trying to learn at least two new features of this amazing machine. For example, I just discovered a beautiful overcast stitch to use on seam edges of a linen tunic. It was a real time saver because I didn't have to stop and rethread my serger to finish them. "Stellar Machine Features" would be the first article I'd read!

  99. OFS | | #99

I'm sort of fascinated by the article on pins and pinning. Big geek, I know :)

  100. User avater
    nick0166 | | #100

Copy That. Trace the fit of your favorite sleeve and darts-
I so need to learn how to do this as I have to tailor all the outfits I make!

  101. cands2010 | | #101

Serging Secrets, I love sewing with my serger but, I know there's more was to use it.

  102. depotbay | | #102

I would love to leave a comment, but I live in Ontario Canada and have been trying to find a copy of the Spring Magazine since it was first shown on this Website. I tried to subscribe to it when it first came out and that was cancelled due to it only coming out occasionally. I have visited 3 different cities in Ontario and gone to various venues which sell Magazines without any luck. So all I can say is "It is a great Magazine". I think I have all the magazines since it began. I have been a subscriber to Threads for quite a few years as well.

  103. howsew | | #103

I teach sewing and love to share information with my adult students. They soak it up like a sponge! I'm interested in Copy It, since I often have trouble getting my sleeve/armhole fit correct.

  104. ellievyle | | #104

This whole issue looks great! :D

  105. AugustaCarol | | #105

I'm really interested in the article on serging. I succumbed to a sale on sergers last summer but have yet to use it! The article regarding lace also looks intriguing. Frankly, the whole issue looks fabulous (as usual).

  106. Sandjen200 | | #106

There are several articles I find appealing, but I think my favorite would be "Make it Your Way." It's important to make things in a way one finds satisfying and fulfilling to make a garment one loves.

  107. User avater
    suesewing | | #107

I'd be very interested in learning more about sewing with lace. Also seeing how different a pattern look when sewn by different people fascinates me.

  108. freshdaily | | #108

I am interested in the express pockets and the custom lace top!

  109. Ravenwing999 | | #109

For me the basics of sewing are most important. I taught myself to sew. I now sew for a living, but still find skills [ pinning for instance] where I need more instruction. Most of the articles are of interest to me. Serger Secrets and Make It Your Way are the ones I would read first.

  110. tonip | | #110

I retired last Friday! I have a serger in my closet, new to me, I've never used it. So many things I want to sew. I've been away from real sewing for 25 years but I did make an apron very similar to the dress on the cover. Style and colors made me take a third look at it!

  111. User avater
    barbconn | | #111

I would be interested in the Make It Your Way article. I have been sewing for more than 50 years and I am just beginning to experiment with design changes to a pattern. For a while I sewed for economic reasons, so that I could have new clothes. Then I made enough money to buy RTW so I didn't sew except to mend. Now I have retired and I have the time to play.

  112. terrysews | | #112

So many things. I'd like to make the cover dress, lace top and copy favorite sleeves, for starters.

  113. User avater
    Mirja | | #113

I would love to learn more about using my serger!

  114. Ayofemi | | #114

I have been sewing since I was in grade school and I see there are things I can still learn. I was very surprised by the article about pinning. I had an aha moment. I would love to read the entire magazine. I always learn something from any Threads magazine I read.

  115. camesewedconquered | | #115

Cutting fabric with a rotary cutter and mat: this appeals to me because I'm back to sewing again after several years of not sewing, and I would like to see how to use this method of cutting material. Also, I don't own a serger, but am interested, so the article on sergers would be interesting for me to read. I have lots to learn, so really the whole issue will be helpful!

  116. designsbyjanetp | | #116

I would like to see the custom lace top znd the Denim in detail. Thanks for the giveaway.

  117. auntPollybBeattie | | #117

I would very much like to win this.

  118. SewDian | | #118

Too hard to chose only one subject. I love Sew Stylish and read it cover to cover. Everything I read helps me sew a little bit better. Thank you for a wonderful magazine!

  119. sewcietymaven | | #119

I couldn't decide on one, but anything to do with lace would make me happy!

  120. msewwhat | | #120

There is sooooo much in this magazine that appeals to me! With Spring just around the corner I am planning to sew several pairs of capris from a store bought pattern. Looking forward to "Denim Detail" giving me some inspiration in the creation of my new capris. The "Express Pocket" may be just the extra detail I need to make my capris couture perfect! I hope to use "Easy Ease" to help me get a well fitted look by altering the "ease" in the patterns for a better fit. I always look for more efficient ways to use my sewing machine so "Stellar Machine Features" is definitely on my list. I am looking forward to getting some tips on how to best use my rotary cutter with, "Get on a Roll." "Serging Secrets" will give me some tips on using my serger in more creative ways. I have always wanted to "copy cat" a pattern which I hope to finally learn in "Copy That."
I have been scouring my local fabric shop, Fry's magazine rack and others for this magazine to no avail. I would use every article in it and make you proud!

  121. Leesy | | #121

The article on ease. It's a bugaboo of mine, I always get tucks when I ease, and I never can steam ease into my wools either.

  122. PABarnes | | #122

I always like to know about new sewing tools. I am a fanatic about them.

  123. frilly | | #123

True to my login, I use lace in many many sewing projects, so am eager to see the lace top article!

  124. smpnew | | #124

I have been thinking about buying a serger for years. The serger article would really help push me over the edge.

  125. karlykitten | | #125

Ease Ease - I am always looking for more technical articles which will help me improve my sewing and fitting skills.

  126. rubicat | | #126

I need to learn how to use my rotary cutters efficiently - but I'd also love to know how to make a couture neck trim. Frankly, any of the articles would be interesting.

  127. jlimb | | #127

All the articles are of interest to me.

  128. mesewpretty | | #128

The "Sew It, Style It. Mix what you've sewn with what you own". would definitely be my go to article. Thank you Threads.

  129. blackberryhill | | #129

I would be most interested in the Serger Secrets and the Stellaar machine Features articles. I am always looking or new ways to use my sewing machine and serger.

  130. AnniePC | | #130

That is a very hard question to answer. I've been researching sewing machines, so the timing on the article on stellar features is stellar for me. Likewise, my sister just gave me some antique lace, and I've been pondering what to do with it. I have a serger, but haven't really used it. Yesterday I was bemoaning the fact that my wardrobe is a mismash of unrelated items. This issue will end up in my library one way or another.

  131. EmSewCrazy | | #131

The Custom Lace Top would probably be the first place I would go. I have been thinking about making a lace top this spring and having some pointers would be great!

  132. Arlene_Anne | | #132

Express Pocket, Easy Ease, Denim in Detail. Will this teach me how to make a pocket in a garment that doesn't have one? Ease must be the reason some patterns are too big and some too small, all in the same size. Denim -- I never wear it, but I just bought some.

  133. srb5132 | | #133

    Pockets, definitely Pockets!

Every Issue of Sew Stylish I have seen in the past has been full of good ideas and information. I look forward to getting this new issue!

  136. atrg322 | | #136

I'm hoping to make a lace embellished dress for a wedding this spring and would love to learn tips on how to work with the fabric!

  137. BarbaraTW | | #137

This is a great publication. What an inspiration to improve one's skills!

  138. BaysicKnits | | #138

"Make It Your Way. Three designers take the same pattern in new directions" has the most appeal to me. I really like to see how others interpret patterns beyond the example on the front of the envelope!

  139. touchthefabric | | #139

Learned to sew through 4-H and have sewn off and on ever since. Would like to devote more time to sewing, and I believe this issue would be a catalyst for that. The serger article and "Get on a Roll" sound like good articles that I don't want to miss.

  140. ericitocas | | #140

I'm very interested to learn about painted lace.

  141. Wrybunz | | #141

Serging secrets - I've been wanting one for years. But all the articles sound great!

  142. Neosha | | #142

Make It Your Way appeals to me the most. When I first started sewing I would purchase one Vogue pattern and make it as many ways as possible. I couldn't afford to buy more patterns. I still like to get one pattern to fit and then use time and again. It would be interesting to see how designers do this.

    adelesdernier | | #143

Oh sew interested in "Copy That." I am currently learning to draft my own patterns and those techniques will be very valuable.

  144. muddog | | #144

I love most of the articles in this magazine. I would like to try the lace top and the three different looks from one pattern. I always learn things from this magazine and either tear out specific articles that I want to keep or keep an entire magazine if it is full of articles I can apply routinely. We do not have access to any sewing magazines in this area (to buy over the counter) and I miss that very much. Once we have a permanent address I will definitely be subscribing.

  145. savannagal | | #145

Stellar Machine Features would be of interest to me. I don't know much about my machine. All I really do it straight stitches. I have many feet and don't know what to do with any of them.

  146. Shadegardener | | #146

Stellar Machine Features would probably be the first article I'd read, but every single article in this issue is of interest to me. I'd love to have it.

  147. mfendley | | #147

Love the up to date info. Especially like the designer techniques and ideas. Great that they are willing to share with the rest of us. Thanks

  148. TapiocaSunshine | | #148

The article on metal eyelets is just in time. I want to make something with eyelets, as I see them on fashionable outfits these days, but I'm intimidated by the prospect.

  149. chachito | | #149

I am very interested in lace-painting and dying fabrics. It would be nice to win this magazine

  150. whoneedlesthis | | #150

I am thinking couture know how, how to trim a neckline would be my most interesting article, whether it means how to correctly trim the seam allowances under the facing, or how to add trim to make a neckline more attractive. I love Claire Shaeffers couture techniques in Threads, and have her book.

  151. retrobou | | #151

Well, as someone jumping back into sewing after a long long hiatus, I am hard pressed to choose just one. Stellar machine features might be one, since I am in the market for a new machine, and they are so so advanced now. Same with serger secrets. I had a serger once and only knew how to serge my ends, never took it beyond that. But oh, the make it your way sounds like something I would love as well. Sigh.

  152. everbren | | #152

I have a rather new serger and would love to find out more about using it in everyday sewing!

  153. IreneR | | #153

I think the Threads magazine is the best sewing mag. on the market. It gives great couture info and always has inspirational articles. We need more magazines like Threads. Too many others are too simple, like telling us how to make a pillow. I have been sewing for years and appreciate articles, and inspiration for experienced sewers.
    thanks!!

  154. historicclothing | | #154

My favorite - Make It Your Way.
Teaching and encouraging people to be creative is the best! It can lead to great self expression in the best possible way.
    Happy creating everyone :)

    Painted lace sounds fascinating

  156. Mizmash | | #156

How do you choose just one?! I would like to start with the sewing machine options, as I haven't explored the full potential of my sewing machine; go on to the tote bag (it is my dream to try making as many different fabric bags as possible); then denim (I'd happily wear denim everyday and every where) and before long complete tha magazine cover to cover!

  157. en_gee | | #157

    Metal eyelets would be interesting.

  158. User avater
    sewthernbelle | | #158

That custom lace top sounds interesting. I've been wanting to make something like that for a while now.

  159. FionaWest | | #159

I am a new subscriber to Threads, and I LOVE it! I can only imagine what will be in Sew Stylish. I'm sure the lace top will be something I'd be interested in, as well as anything regarding couture techniques. I am a late bloomer as far as sewing is concerned, and I am happy that I found Threads magazine.

  160. deedee4 | | #160

I am very interested in SERGER SECRETS when information is available.

  161. Jenerator | | #161

I'm very interested in the Lace Top article as I would love to make one either for me or for my daughter.
By the way, is it possible to subscribe to Sew Stylish? I think I used to have a subscription, but now I only get emails advising that it'll be coming out and wait and wait and wait for it to be available at local newsagencies!

    GigiDear | | #162

I always love the Couture Know-How.
I'm thrilled that there are so many articles I am interested in: Lace top, Pins, Denim, the Tote, Painting lace, Lacing up a top -- all of these are my No. 1 pix! :-)
Eyelets, piecing, serging and sewing machine tips -- always useful!
This looks like an excellent issue.
I have been a Threads subscriber for many years now, and I am very happy to see the renewed interest in sewing in the youngest generations of sewers.

  163. Sewsie | | #163

Hey THreads, your website has problems. The page keeps jumping back to the top, and I've had to scroll down to the bottom about eight times now, just to get logged in and leave a comment. When I tried to change one word I wrote, it deleted my whole comment. So I'm not going to re-elaborate again.

I vote for "Get On a Roll. Cut fabric efficiently with rotary cutters and mats."

  164. manali | | #164

always gets my creative juices flowing, can't wait!

  165. doreenlinehan | | #165

I'd love to read Serger Secrets. Though I'm not as terrified of my serger as I used to be, I still need to learn so much more.

  166. Elizam | | #166

Make It Your Way would be of interest to me. Since I have improved my sewing skills I would like to be able to reuse some of the patterns I currently have to get a different look. I am looking forward to reading the magazine.

  167. ZoeK | | #167

Easy Ease interests me - I always think I need much more than I really do!

  168. pandora57 | | #168

I am with the majority here and would be hard pushed to name a favourite, but I think it will have to be Easy Ease this time, but rest assured the print will be read off the entire magazine!! As usual!

  173. karynfell | | #173

The painted lace article appeals to me first ,but all the articles appeal. thank you.

  174. janieros | | #174

I can't wait to read about Easy Ease. I am always looking for ways to make my clothes fit better. I am also interested in Serger Secrets.

  175. fergus4 | | #175

I have sewn with pins forever but I am always ready to learn something new. I would read the article on pins the very first thing. I like sharp, thin, long pins. I want to see what you have to tell me to add to my knowledge on their use.... I am getting ready to interest my young granddaughter in learning to sew and want to pass on everything I can to her.

  176. patternfreak | | #176

The custom lace top article sounds really interesting to me; I recently bought several yards of stretch lace and am trying to decide what to do with it. I love your magazine, it always gives me lots of ideas! Thank you.

Many of these articles appeal to me, but the ONE I'd have to decide upon is ""Copy That. Trace the fit of your favorite sleeve and darts." I have learned that the most effective method of creating garments that fit is to copy something that you know DOES fit.

  178. LaSylvie | | #178

I would love to get back into sewing. Just for the record, I love the tips in the newsletter.

  179. fozie | | #179

Learning about ease...so important...I've had to rip out sleeves more than once, argh. Thanks for the chance to win!

  180. DrivesSewMachBest | | #180

I could stand to learn some new and fun "embellishing" ideas. I feel stale. Thanks!

  181. cathj | | #181

Serging Secrets, just what I need to get me motivated to finish ALL those tops I've already cut out but am too timid to "serge" ahead.

  182. msmargie | | #182

I'm excited about all the articles on using lace. Jason Wu's collection at Target is going to make lace VERY popular this season. But the article I'm most interested in is "Make It Your Way." I sometimes have trouble visualizing the possibilities (especially trim) of patterns I like.

  183. sewquilter | | #183

I like the serger article because I love to work with my serger. I also like the pieced panel dress on the cover, I would love to learn how to make one of these dresses.

  184. dianajanssen | | #184

Metal eyelets - I have a bunch and it would be good to learn how to use them.

  185. Maggie40 | | #185

I love the couture Know-How. I am 71, but I could live to be 200 and never learn enough about the art of sewing!

    scrandall | | #188

This looks like a great magazine! Tons of tips and ideas.

  189. KathfromOz | | #189

Oohh, the 'Perfect Match Tote". The delicate embroidered fabric grabbed me first, and then the surprise element, the very different textural component of the sheep skin, sealed the deal.

  190. Soosewiets | | #190

Such a great magazine, such a shame I can't winn, for you don't ship to Europe.

  191. mensew2 | | #191

I am interested in the "Easy Ease" article that focuses on garment appearance, fit, and comfort. Simply, if a garment does not look good and drape well, any money spent on fabric, thread, and notions, has been a waste of money and my time constructing it.

  192. User avater
    susan1006 | | #192

I like to make purses and bags so the beaded cluitch caught my eye, but it's the serger article that makes me really want this issue. I bought a serger and I am not having very good luck trying to use it. The store is pretty far away, so I am on my own. I can use all the help I can get:)

  193. kimimaginethat | | #193

Imagine what you can do with all of this wonderful information. Using my serger interests me the most right now but any new ideas and inspiration sets me to dreaming.

  194. Nyliramirez | | #194

This looks like a wonderful magazine with lots of great ideas...one I'd like to subscribe to!

  195. ctirish | | #195

All the articles are great but the two I would read first are the Stellar machines and then the Serger Secrets..

    jane

  196. JeanMau | | #196

All the articles look very interesting, but I would probably go first to the article on sergers. I've owned one for a few years, but don't feel I probably use it to its full potential.

  197. grandmaloveszane | | #197

I have a serger that is not being used to its full potential. I would love to have some help on that subject. I live in a small town and lessons are not available.

  198. Corrales | | #198

I haven't done much with my serger lately.Sure could use help in that department. One of my threads keeps breaking no matter how I adjust tension. Also love denim so i'd be interested in that as well.

I would love to read this article and the whole magazine. It looks really great. Good luck to everyone!!

  203. sradoll | | #203

I would probably start with Make it Your Way. I love to see how other people modify a pattern!

  204. 3feathers | | #204

It would be "Copy That". I always struggle with marking fabric.

  205. DebbieBarry | | #205

Sew It, style It grabs my interest. Any idea to incorporate the new with those staples in my closet that fit well but are getting boring wins my vote.

  206. SEWNYA | | #206

Painted lace would be my first pick.

  207. RosieAnnie | | #207

'Make it your way' takes my fancy but 'sew' do many of the others!! I was so hoping to be able to subscribe to this mag. I subscribe to Threads and just ordered some back issues of Sewstylish, guess i'll have to keep buying back issues every 12 months and wait for them to get to me down under :(

  208. sailcocktail | | #208

I have quite a stash of lace fabric and need more ways to use it, so "Custom Lace Top" is a natural for me. I'd love to get a copy of this issue!

  209. Romy | | #209

"Sew it, Style it" is always an interesting subject for me because I like style and when I sew or buy fabric or clothing it is to mix with what I already have and it has to be stylish. And of course I would like to win this magazine!

  210. cecine | | #210

I have a serger and the article serger secret will be very helpfull.

  211. RiaAndTiggy | | #211

I would dearly love to win a copy of Threads. I've been sewing for a short while and know some of the basics but would like to try more techniques and more difficult garments - including a coat! I definitely need guidance and Threads is a great magazine - as well as an very informative and helpful web site - that I know I could learn a lot from.

  212. RiaAndTiggy | | #212

Oh, I've actually been interested in making a lace top - and even have some beautiful grey lace. I would love to see the article and learn the best techniques to sew this fabric.

  213. lalouf | | #213

I LOVE this magazine, so many projects to make, dream about & always a wonderful comment on my finished garment. The article that draws my eye to it is Piece Work. I have just started to learn to quilt & hopeing that this gives me a new special project to work on.

  214. DesignerExtraordinar | | #214

I am a Wedding Dress designer and creator (meaning I sew my own designs) and I am teaching myself to paint on fabric. Your article, "Painted Lace. Apply dye with a brush....." would be a fabulous way to teach me on a new fabric......beyond solid woven. Thank you for your consideration.

  215. BeckyPiette | | #215

It is hard to decide which article most interests me! So many do. I will settle on the painted lace article. Painting fabric scares me, but I'd love to learn how to do it, and I'd love to work up the courage to try it!

  216. rapunzel27 | | #216

Everything in the magazine sounds like something i want to try. Been sewing since the 7th grade and that is a very long time ago.. Celebrating my 35th Class reunion this year..you do the math...lol. I am always learning new techniques in sewing. Just wish i knew how to make my own opatterns and how to drape.. need someone to actually show me how to do that one on one. Love Threads and devore it from cover to cover several times ..just wish it was a monthly! :)

  218. angreacum | | #218

I am interested in painted lace and Metal eyelets articles.

  219. MaryLeah | | #219

Several of the articles sound interesting, but I'm most interested in the one about the custom lace top. A friend gave me several yards of quality lace a few years ago and I have had no idea what to do with it.

  220. heidifp | | #220

I'm really excieted for the jeweled clutch article and the painted lace! I'm a seamstress for almost 13 years and have a plethora of stones, jewels, beads and sequins. I've been wanting a flashy eyecatching clutch to incorperate into my own wardrobe! Yay for me. even if i don't win a free copy i'll be buying it anyway because i LOVE the magizine!!!!

  221. SherrySews | | #221

I think I would be most interested in the article "Copy That. Trace the fit of your favorite sleeve and darts." I am always looking for techniques that allow me to reuse good fit from existing items. I think that this magazine would be another of those 'cover to cover' reads! Lots of good information packed into a few pages, I am sure!

  222. pickingtulips | | #222

This may sound a bit naive. But i just received a new sewing machine for christmas a machine that does everything including the dishes and so i am starting a huge new learning curve after using a machine that is over 40 years old. I know that sergers make your life so much easier but I DON"T KNOW HOW or if they are worth buying right now after gettting a fabulous new machine so I can't wait to read the article on "SERGEING SECRETS" to see if its something that I should still be looking at getting and if it will really enhance my sewing.

  223. sasspiper | | #223
