Wrap it up!

Vogue 1285

Vogue’s spring pattern collection features wrap and wrap-inspired dresses and tops.

Sweet Dresses

Vogue 1285 by Tracy Reese is a fashionable lined mock-wrap dress. The distinctive notched neckline and exposed darts give it a modern, chic look. The dress has a side zipper and two hook and eyes to hold the front neckline band flat. The skirt is sewn closed giving it only the appearance of a wrap dress. Two-way stretch knit fabrics are recommended.

From Vogue’s Very Easy pattern line is a sweet wrap dress, number 8784. This classic silhouette has a number of nice details, such as front dart tucks, back princess seams, two skirt and sleeve choices and an optional collar. Best with lightweight knit or woven fabrics such as jersey or linen.

A Flattering Top

Pattern 8790 is a mock-wrap knit top. This drapey easy-to-sew top is flattering on nearly every figure type. For the best fit and added comfort, use two-way stretch fabrics blended with spandex. With three sleeve choices this is a great pattern for spring and summer–sew the long sleeve version to wear now and the short sleeve or sleeveless versions for the summer months.
