Video: Knit a Furry Scarf

Gary Junken

New to the knitting game? Then you’ll love, love, love this video. Tina Hilton, author of “Hand-knit Scarf” on p. 30 in Sew Stylish: Gifts to Make, shows you how to knit this gorgeous accessory from start to finish. And she shows you all of the different novelty yarns she used to create the neck warmer.

I’m a self-confessed knitting newbie, and Tina’s clear, concise explanation has me yearning for yarn and a couple of sticks (a.k.a. knitting needles). You’ll see me sporting a scarf just like this (but in purple shades) when the weather turns frosty.

Do you wanna know the absolute best part of this video? You can watch it over and over (and over and over and over, in my case) until you get it right. And, you can knit right alongside Tina, and pause the video while you complete a row. Ah, the beauty of technology!
