Bakery containers for storage

The clear plastic containers that come from most supermarket bakery departments make wonderful see-through storage for my gathered laces and other trims. After I roll them, they look like floating roses in the container, and with a rubber band around the container, the attached lid can’t flip open, even if I accidentally drop a container. I can conveniently see my stash through all sides, and the containers are easy to stack in storage.

I think the sushi places also use the same ones for takeaway sushi! But for the purposes of easy and cheap (and clean and new) storage options, clear plastic take away boxes are also fantastic for stowing away sewing things for storage and they are easily obtainable at bakery and food supply stores. I particularly like the ones that are like tupperware boxes with air tight covers so it isn't so easy for the top to burst off if I drop the box.

It's an innovative way to do your part for the environment that's for sure. I might actually think of using this idea as a self storage method for some of my nuts and bolts and screws in the garage..
