i made this for my grandaughter when she was a bridesmaid earlier this year, it was made out of heavy weight satin, the satin i had ordered was light weight but the company i ordered from had run out so they sent the heavy wieght as an alternative, they gave me an whole extra two metres for my trouble, because of the thickness of the fabric it made it very hard to do the gathering around the waist, but i managed to get it to fit using fishing line instead of thread as it is stronger, i sat in my caravan to make it up lovely and peacefull in there
