my first wedding dress

Doing a wedding dress in 2 weeks for a pregnant bride-to-be is not easy….I did so many stupid mistakes (forgot the put interfacing, broke the zipper…) it was as if I just started making dresses – the nerves I guess, 2 weeks goes by fast.

I used her old dress to make the new one. The top layer was a krinkle polyester, the middle player of the skirt was a crepe satin and the last layer was organza. We used earrings that I modified for the top, I wanted something to hide the elastic.

I’m pretty proud of it…everybody at the wedding loved it, it really represented her style.
