Quilt Your Stash

Scrappy Table Runner

This is a table runner made from scraps of a wedding quilt made for my niece, Karly. I wanted to feature the fabric with the moth (or butterfly) motif, so I used that as a middle strip. I had lots of strip pieces left from the original quilt,  so I used the strips to piece a border. For the backing, I used a black fabric printed with a grayish white design. I quilted the runner with a wavy grid. I love the colors together, an acid green, black, and shades of gray. I sent the runner to my niece for her 1st wedding anniversary.
