Vintage Style Party Gown
This dress was made by the pattern with the follwing changes. I made the shoulder straps into ties. This allows the wearer to have flexibility in the strap length. I did not add the decorative waist ties shown in the pattern (too many bows with the shoulder ties), I fully lined the dress and took out one skirt panel (Omiting a skirt panel gave the skirt a bell shape, popular inthe 60's). I wanted the dress to appeal to today's gal, a more relaxed-casual taste. I envison this dress being worn to a garden wedding or party. The length is great for outdoor events. The skirt is home decor fabric and gives the dress a nice weight. (shown with crinoline).
