Mood Fabrics Debuts the Mood Sewing Network

The Mood Sewing Network

Mood Designer Fabrics, Project Runway’s go-to fabric store, has recruited a group of very talented fashion sewing bloggers to help launch the Mood Sewing Network (MSN). This group of tech-savvy sewers is comprised of nine bloggers who represent a broad range of experience, expertise, and unique styles.

Each month Mood Fabrics will provide the MSN bloggers with an allowance for fabric to be purchased exclusively at MoodFabrics.com or in their NYC or LA stores. In turn, the featured bloggers will create garments using the fabrics bought and share their sewing project on the Mood Sewing Network site.

I think the sewing network will be fabulously fun way to build excitement for fashion sewing, fabrics and design. What I’m most thrilled about is the diversity in style, skill, and experience that each of the nine bloggers brings. I’ve browsed through this month’s beautifully made garments and can’t wait for next month’s sewing projects. Take a look at the Mood Sewing Network, browse the bloggers’ creations, and let us know what you think!

Have you ever shopped at Mood Fabrics? Do you currently follow any of the Mood Sewing Network bloggers? If so, which one(s)? What are some of your favorite garments shared by the MSN bloggers?

I shopped at Mood Fabrics in the late 1970's or early 1980's long before it became a household name. I remember a black and white wool houndstooth but I don't remember what happened to it.

My visit to Mood Fabrics two years ago was the highlight of my NYC trip. Thanks for bringing it to us older ladies in Florida who cannot always make the trip.

I've never heard of Mood Fabrics until now, and haven't looked at many bloggers either, but this network sounds like fun.

I will be in NYC in 2 weeks and can't wait to explore Mood as I am a fan of Project Runway. Most of the blogs I follow are quilting & sewing related but I now have some more to explore. I find blogs are a great learning experience! We older sewers are beginning to find how much technology can expand our world.

I live in NYC, so Mood is on my list of favorite places. It's a bit over whelming, but you turn your head and there's this great remnant of a desiigner bolt of coton that is reasonably priced and perfect for whatever. They have the best priices for muslin.

I live in Connecticut and get to travel to Mood twice a year with my students. I teach Fashion and Design at a high school and luckily we are able to travel to the NYC garment district to buy fabric. You can't beat their selection.
