Red, White, & Blue ~ 1950s Style!

Here’s a fun new dress that I just sewed from the 1958 Party Dress Pattern available at Sense & Sensibility Patterns! I used the Robert Kaufman Carolina Gingham (in the one inch width), and trimmed the neckline and sleeves with dark red rickrack. The red ribbon sash ties it all together quite literally. : ) I used the pleated skirt option, and I had a lot of fun taking the pictures in a retro soda fountain shop! You can read more about this project on my blog
