Just finished this today.  It's an iron carrier (this is not my pattern - TC Designs - I purchased it from Nancy's Notions).  I wanted to make one - I taught a sewing class at church over the summer and continue to run a sewing group twice a month and I seem to be constantly carrying home a hot iron.  The beauty of this is that it is also an ironing surface.  I discovered that the folded corners make a nice "pocket" to hold the cord.  This carrier was easy enough to create but I would not recommend it for beginners - the directions are not the most intuitive.
