Working with a border print
When I saw the cover of last month's Threads Magazine, it reminded me of a dress I had made two years ago using a border print fabric. Since I did not want any gathers around my waist, I cut the skirt in many gores, so as not to lose the design around the bottom, but to preserve all the fullness. As you can see, I had to cut carefully and match the design as much as I possibly could! The bodice was from an old pattern.
