How to Re-create a Vintage Modernist Bag

This is the bag I bought recently at a local vintage shop.
Since it appeared to be such a simple bag, I didnt really get a good understanding of what Id bought until I got it back to my studio.
I was able to clean the leather with saddle soap and condition it with mink oil, so it at least looks somewhat acceptable.

This is the bag I bought recently at a local vintage shop. I thought it was a bag from the 1980s. The handcrafted look turned out to be a design conceit. It proved to be a well-made bag. Deceptively simple in looks, it yielded some surprises!
