I took the Susan Khalje couture workshop in Baltimore and wanted to challenge myself to make something I had not tried before – outwear. Inspired by a gift of amazing silk matalesse fabric, I decided I wanted to try a biker jacket style in a fabric that was not traditionally used.

This jacket was made using all couture techniques and took over 50 hours to make. I loved every minute of it!
