This would be a welcome addition to my library! Have inherited several pieces that need to be tied in to everything else!

This would be useful as I work for a mission guest house with several old things that could use facelifts. :) Thanks!

I am still using the garage-sale furniture I purchased some 20 years ago. It was top quality (the best I could afford) at the time, has been treated gently (no kids or pets), but is looking really threadbare by now. Could use the help to bring it into the current style!

I have two lovely chairs inherited from my Mother. They are upholstered in white material and will not come clean anymore. I would love to give them a facelift with slipcovers and not be ashamed of their appearance. in my living room. Thank you.

Oh wow, so need this. I've tried to make a 'custom' slip cover for my overly skungy loveseat, but NEVER should have made it a light colour, especially because it's my husband's favourite sofa. Dirty husband + skungy loveseat = need this book!

My chair has been with me for 11 years. I bought it at a "post typhoon sale" on the island of
Guam. I love its canvas color background and its blue roses, and sit in it every day for Morning Bible time. It has been surface washed and finally has holes in the sides where I curl up my feet. Its been a great chair and I would like to use it for a while more...

Never have attempted to create a slipcover for a chair before, but have always wanted to learn. I have a chair that has survived the growth of 3 children and it is now 28 years old. Originally purchased from Haverty's and still in excellent condition. I would love to give this chair a more vibrant, new life by creating a custom slipcover for it. This book will assist me in jumpstarting the process.

Sure do! I have cats and they have clawed the crap out of spots on the furniture. They can use a slip cover! Great site and giveaway! Thank you and good luck everyone!

Really need this book, our sofa has seen a lot of wear and the stains from Maggie our English Springer Spaniel around the skirt means it needs recovering. Sure could use this book for guidance on that project. I have been looking for instruction/class to make one for a couple of years. However, the sewing in adult education classes in our area seem to have disappeared.

Thanks for this opportunity to win this book.

I have a chair which I love! Would love to be able to recover it. It has traveled the world with me and upholstered once. It sort of matches the living room now, but would love to slipcover it properly.

This book might even prompt me to make my porch furniture "FUNiture"!

20 yrs ago, I made slipcovers for a multi-piece sectional. I didn't know where to start. The whole idea was to save the orig. cover from my 2 yr old grandson. I didn't want to have to keep saying "keep you feet off the couch".
I bought 40 yds of med denim, covered the cushions(back and seat) and inserted a colorful piping. Then I was stuck for over a year. Finally said,"What the What" and tried the sides and back of each individual piece. Looked OK but... Now it needs a new look and I need more guidance. I know this book will help.

living on a small farm in Georgetown TX, there is plenty of dust, I would love to be able to take covers off of my living room furniture and wash it, dreams can come true!!! not to mention the two mastiffs!! and a husband who just sits down with no thought on the condition of his clothes.
I have attempted to make slipcovers, and am missing a few key points, I believe your book will help me quite a bit!!
