I would need size 4-12 so I could make this for myself and my two adult daughters. I would make The pants and jacket out of a linen blend and the shirt out of a silk rayon. I think the top I would make out of maybe a rayon batik to go with linen pants and jacket.

  7. Marty_Marie | | #7

I'd like to use a tartan suiting for the pants, skirt, and jacket, then use a light cotton jersey for the corset style top. Pair this outfit with some dark coloured tights, and some chunky boots and viola! fabulous fall is here. Size 4-12, please.

  15. annsantist | | #15

This reminds me of my favorite suite. The top would be made from dupioni silk and the jacket and pants would be a light weight suiting material.

  16. tattingchris | | #16

I have a nice blue linen to use and would need the 4-12.

  17. User avater
    groomergal | | #17

I would love to make this out of Linen, underlined with silk organza to resist wrinkling. The top I would probably use a cotton blend in a pattern to complement the colors of the linen. (size 12-20) Thank you so much.

  18. maryellen48 | | #18

I would love to work with raw silk for the skirt and pants. I shall need the larger of the options. Thanks for this opportunity.

  19. 60sGidget | | #19

Some of the items cotton...some cotton knit...always bright colors...size 4-12...then I can sew for my teenage Granddaughters, too...

  20. user-3186175 | | #20

It would depend on the occasion it is made. I would make it in poplin if it is for a day to day outfit. But for a special or formal occasion, I would choose silk linen or shantung. Size 18-20.

  21. RRGNAK | | #21

I would sew the jacket in a boucle or brocade with a contrasting collar and lining, the slacks in complementary twill with the waist band in the same material as the collar. The top would be beautiful in a silk or cotton.

    size 12-20 please.

  22. User avater
    Bonniecreates | | #22

I would make the pants and jacket in denim and linen for the other items. Size 12 - 20.

  23. KK254 | | #23

My vision for this pattrn is black lace lined with black silk for the top and pants. For the jacket, black satin with black lace sleeves unlined. I should have it finished by New Years Eve. Size 4-12.

  24. Lady_D | | #24

I would not make views A or B. I would make C, D, and E in cotton or linen, or perhaps a blend of both. Since I am - shall we say - less than fond of stand-alone hook-and-eye closures, I would modify the front of View E to have a decent button-down or snap closure, as well as changing the style of the collar and lengthening the sleeves ... I would also modify the length of the skirt (View C)to something much longer than given, because I am also not fond of knee-length skirts. Something in the size 12-20 range would fit me about perfectly.

  25. kidhauler1948 | | #25

The long corset would be cute in a small print calico.
If I should win te pattern size 12-20.

  51. Bella1957 | | #51

I would make this outfit in linen or silk. The color would determine my choice. Need the smaller size please.

  61. sewerdownunder | | #61

  62. User avater
    GypsyThread | | #62

I love using different weight fabrics using the same patterns. Not sure if I'd start with a rayon or linen blend first. Shantung would be great for the jacket. Something with a light stretch might be nice for the pants. Although, I do love the feel of pants made from cotton poplin even though they wrinkle.
The larger pattern size, 12-20, would be awesome. ~ Carey

  63. SharonPicone | | #63

I would make D in a silk-rayon. I would need the size 4-12 pattern if I'm lucky enough to win (fingers crossed! :)

  64. User avater
    harikleia | | #64

I would use twill with a sateen finish to make B and D. (size 12-20). Thanks.

  65. Lbeck858 | | #65

I would use maybe a cotton blend for the skirt. Size 4-12

  66. sandy830 | | #66

The kind of fabric I would use for the Jacket E would be a linen blend in a solid color with the skirt C of a cotton/rayon blend in coordinating floral along with top A. If I wanted pants D, I would choose the same color as the jacket in a lightweight twill that would also coordinate with the floral print of top A. That way I could have several different looks for almost every occasion. This pattern could go from spring to summer to fall, depending on the color palette used.

  67. User avater
    sewold | | #67

Linen or linen blend for casual or silk dupioni to really dress it up. The style would work for both. I could even see it in a light weight denim! (size 12-20)

  68. user-2434933 | | #68

I would make this top with lace underlined by a nude and the 'collar flaps' out of leather! Maybe the peplum out of leather as well to go over the pants or skirt!

  69. user-2434933 | | #69

Forgot! For my daughter so size 2-12! Thank you!!

  70. DBurchard | | #70

  71. User avater
    jamaco | | #71

A linen or cotton. I would make this in sizes 12-20.

  72. thestitch | | #72

For the pants, a cotton blend, twill, or poplin. The top in a silky floral. I'd like to win sizes 12-20.

  73. winterbull | | #73

The "jacket" and skirt in a solid color silk brocade. The corset (peplum) would be in a silk print to blend with the brocade and the peplum part would in the same silk brocade as the jacket & skirt. (size 12 - 20)

  74. lovetosewsorselo | | #74

I have my Winter wardrobe planned with making the jacket first in a Chinese red and gold embroidered brocade with black linen pants, and second (to go with the black pants, a pair in pale grey silk dupioni). I do adaptive sewing for myself so I'll also make all the items in this wonderful pattern in several different colors of Silk Essence - everything in size 12-20.
    (

  75. bournegirl | | #75

I would use a cotton-backed silk for the jacket, view E. And I would probably add just a teensy bit of embroidery somewhere, just for fun. I would most definitely make the pants in a rayon blend to achieve a good drape. Washable rayon blend. (size 12-20)

  76. ceeshells | | #76

I would need the size 12-20. I would see this in linen for the jacket and pants, either a royal blue or a turquoise. and the top in either handkerchief linen, or silk print. or for a really dressy effect, I would make the wide leg pants into almost gaucho style with a flowing silky print fabric, matching jacket and top in a neutral color.

  77. user-944239 | | #77

I would make them all and out of organic cotton

  78. SWoerner | | #78

  82. 709501 | | #82

I forgot to say - size 22. Thanks.

  83. luckysue | | #83

I would use silk brocade or linen for the jacket and cotton backed silk or linen for the trousers. Size 12-20 please.

Love the corset-style top w/ peplum (view B). It would look great on me (sizes 12-20) in an emerald green linen blend :)

  87. timpson77 | | #87

I love the fact that this pattern does not require the standard waistband. I love the cut of the pattern as well as the overall look and versatility - this allows one to mix and match fabrics to expand a wardrobe. Well done! Put me down for the 12-20 Size! Thank You!

  88. Loret | | #88

I would make this in either with a pique or sateen...color alternating black and white or cream. I will need size 12-20...thank you very much! LOL

  89. sewnutt1 | | #89

I would opt for a beige or yellow linen or linen/blend to make the camisole top and pants and skirt. On the camisole I would do some delicate hand embroidery of flowers and leaves. (yes, I still like it done by hand once in a while!) to highlight the waistline area from front to center back. I would use those same colors from the embroidery threads to embellish the underside of the skirt and pants hem and maybe the inside of the jacket edge. Love the subtlety of trims!

I have a gorgeous green teal shantung that would make up beautifully for the peplum top with a black cotton sateen for the pants. (size 12-20) thanks.

  92. SarahAiko | | #92

I would make the skirt/top in a floral cotton, and the jacket/trousers in a coordinating stretch cotton or suiting fabric. size 12-20. Thank you!

  93. SEWPAHRUMP | | #93

I would make view A,B, out of a linen blend and add the jacket made of twill. Something in neutral shade for the linen blend and a bright color for the jacket. Might be a fun pattern to make. Thanks for this opportunity.

  94. User avater
    altieb | | #94

This is a very nice pattern with lots of design possibilities. I have a lovely periwinkle blue silk dupioni in my stash that I would use to make the peplum top, and would use a darker shade in linen for the jacket and pants. Size 12 - 20 would work or me.

  95. MrsBrown | | #95

I have remained in the comfortable and familiar world of quilting cottons for too long! I would challenge myself and make the skirt and top out of a silk-rayon or satin. Oooh...maybe I would get really crazy and try to adjust the pattern to make the skirt and top into a dress! (Size 4 - 12, please)

  96. dsantil71 | | #96

I thought D & E would be good in twill & the rest in silk & rayon blend. In sizes 12-20!

  97. User avater
    2bzmom | | #97

I never win this stuff but I always enter? I would love to have this in size 12-20 for myself.. It would be wonderful...

  98. sailcocktail | | #98

I would make the jacket and skirt I size 12-20 in a sage linen/cotton blend.

  99. laurie_brown | | #99

I have some white cotton with an old fashioned rose print that I've been wanting to make into some kind of corset looking top; the skirt I'd use some soft, striped rayon I have.

  100. cweetgal | | #100

I would love to use my cotswool plaid for the jacket. it will be warm and will look good with the seaming.

  101. user-2131610 | | #101

I would love to make any one of these pieces in a nice fresh, crisp poplin. I think I would do the same thing they've done in the pattern picture and and make some pieces in a print and others in a solid but not sure which until I actually shopped for fabric. I would need the pattern in the size 10-12. Good Luck to everyone!

  102. g_fox | | #102

    Linen blend
    Size 12-20

  103. J2B | | #103

I'm really into jackets right now so would start with the jacket in a black and royal blue silk brocade I have in my stash. I could wear it for dressy occasions or with a pair of jeans. Size 4-12 is my size range. This is a great new coordinates pattern.

  104. User avater
    Susanc22 | | #104

This pattern's pieces look just like something my high school daughter would wear. We'd probably choose a poplin or pique that would wear well at school and start with the skirt, peplum top, and jacket in size 14.

  105. fab54 | | #105

I need size 4-12 and I will use ponte for the jacket

  106. MsDaizy | | #106

I would definitely choose a linen fabric. I am sure I would embellish with a silk charmeuse. Size 14-20

  107. myMarilyn | | #107

I would like these pieces in some coordinating prints and solids. Probably linen or poplin for the pants and jacket. Maybe silky prints for the top. I need a size 12 - 14.
