Having seen the article on selvages in the latest Threads, I thought I would share my project. I made this for my daughter from a piece of wonderful Japanese fabrics. It is either linen or a cotton/linen blend. I decided to use the selvage, hoping she would find this a fun little detail, and she did. I’ve made quite a few of these baskets, and they are lots of fun! I used Soft and Stable rather than the batting called for in the pattern, and also made minor changes to the pattern and assembly instructions.
