McCall’s 6902

These close-fitting, lined jackets with front princess seams, back waist darts, and hidden hook-and-eye closures, can be made with a wide scoop or V-neckline, a flounced or tailored peplum, and three-quarter or full-length one-piece sleeves. One view has a single-layer flounce at the center front and an undulating peplum, both finished with self-fringed edges. Another view has a narrow, tuxedo-like, bias-cut lapel. The final two options are trimmed with purchased ribbons and lace, but can also be made with small chest patch pockets. Use fabrics with surface interest such as tweed, bouclé, linen, and crepe. Fabrics with some stretch are also ideal.

Sewing Tip: For views without lined peplums, catchstitch the seam allowances along the peplum’s center front.
