SewStylish Fall Fashion Challenge 2014

Sunset Fall Dress

I made this dress to attend a fall wedding in Colorado.  The fabric is a gorgeous double cloth crinkle gauze purchased online and I used the Leanne Marshall Simplicity 1877 Pattern.  I made a muslin first of the bodice and decided to raise the CF neckline and the armsyce up 1″.  The fabric was all cut on single layer so the stripes would line up. I hand-bound the neckline with black kona cotton bias stripes and hand hemmed the skirt.  This is one of my favorite things I’ve made in a long time, mostly because the fabric is so beautiful.  It just reminds me of a Fall Sunset.  All photos were taken by my Boyfriend after the wedding we attended at 10,000+ feet in Vail, CO.
