Yet another Elsa costume from Mccall’s 7000. Shockingly was able to make this dress entirely from fabric in my stash (although in my defence, the blue organza with snowflakes was repurposed from a table topper I had made several years ago). Added lining to skirt as well as bodice to make it look better than the store bought versions. French seamed the organze overlay as well as the lace sleeves. Lace sleeves were a bear to stitch and had to put tissue paper underneath the seam as a stabilizer while stitching (a trick I remember my aunt mentioning years ago). Didn’t have a hook and eye for the back closure, so used narrow pale blue ribbon to tie in a bow instead, and called it a design feature. Costume is for a neice on the other side of the country, so sadly, no pictures of it being worn. (Spent more on postage than on the actual dress. Thank you Canada Post!)
