Maleficent Costume. Used McCall’s 6818 with some changes for Coat dress and Mc Call’s 6173 for leggings. Horns were self made with headband, aluminum foil and black spraypaint. Materials used were Black/silver glitter flocked satin and royal pruple taffeta for the dress and black shiny dance lycra for leggings. Used stiff interfacing for double collar and added 3 inch wide horshair braid to hem. The feather trim was double layered between the collar and a single layer uner collar from shoulder line to shoulder line. Feather trim was attached with small sew on snaps for easy removal and to be able to get in and out of coast dress. Closure on coat dress is 7 large skirt/pant hooks. Â Makeup was done by my daughter using a youtube video.
