Halloween Costume Contest 2014

Princess Violet

Designed and Sewn by Rosemarie Baylor, October

“Princess Violet” is a girly, girl that loves sparkle and movement. I chose pattern M6897 Just Pretend Kids for my inspiration for the bodice and sleeves.

The main main fabric used was a purple organza with a gilded swirl design embossed to the fabric. Since Princess Violet was half of the Princess and the pea duo with her baby brother this year I chose to use an accent of lime green tulle and lining.

The lime green portions of the bodice and sleeves were outlined with iridescent gold sequins and embellished with multiple shapes and sizes of acrylic crystal rhinestones.

The skirt was my own design.
I used two layers of purple tulle over the skirt lining.

Click on the first link that brought you to the page that showed all the costumes you could vote for. There's a little white button that says "vote" on each costume and when you click on it, it turns black and that's how you do it. Hope this helps. Patti
