This jacket, bustle and bustle drape of this outfit was created from leather repurposed from hideous thriftstore leather jackets. The skirt was created out of black chintz fabric and silk, which was also painstakingly pleated to make the trim. The pattern was created from period research. However, the lobster tail bustle while created from a period silohuette, has a deadly surprise. The top of the bustle retracts by cranking a handle of the side, revealing a weapon of mass destruction. The steam vent ports on the bottom of the bustle provide propulsion as needed to escape from zombies, monsters and even cads. The bustle also has a side parasol pocket, again based on period research. I created this outfit to wear to a Steampunk convention in San Jose, Ca.

Once I went to our old storage place, and we were about to auction some of the items inside storage rooms that were not paid for a certain period. It is amazing to see what kind of ‘treasures’ you can find in someone else’s junk. We found costume dresses that actually costs a lot when rented and sold. We were able to raise a considerable amount of money to recover the unpaid rent for the storage and have a little bit of profit.
I like your efforts
I'm impressed
