Little Shop of Horrors….Audrey gets Eaten!

This Corset and Bustle skirt lived in my head for a long time before I had a chance to make it!  It represents the scene from Little Shop of Horors, where Audrey walks into the flower shop and ends up being eaten! The basic corset pattern is one that has evolved from a variety of patterns until I had the shape I wanted. I wanted the top part of the corset to look like her nightgown, and the bottom part, the lips of the plant. It contains spring steal bones, and a steal busk. All the design work, and “Audrey II” appliques, are from my head. The bustle skirt (under all the leaves and roots! ) is from Simplicity pattern 1819.

I hope you Enjoy!
